Old problem. I still havent figured out why is this happening.... generate a map from MC and then move it to Bukkit or use voxelsniper or other world manipulating plugins to smoothen things up

    - install worldedit
    - fly to bad chunk
    - type //chunk
    - type //regen
    - boom, chunk regenerated

If it doesn't produce the correct result then it's the other chunk that is incorrect and needs to be regenerated...

If worldEdit doesn't fix it, it's likely an issue with your world's seed somehow getting changed. Not sure how/why, might be.

  6. The seed will be recreated if the current seed is corrupt/missing, So just keep a backup of the world and/or seed.

    Ah, that explains.

Even if you keep the same seed, every minecraft update to the biomes will change the world generation and it's impossible to have land that matches.
