Loading Terrain crash for anyone?

    Hey all,

    First, I'd like to say I'm absolutely THRILLED to be on Bukkit. I was using hMod since it's first initial release and I can tell you, I am (as well as my community) super stoked that we have a system that not only functions better (and runs better) but has the beginnings of what looks like the best plugin management I've seen.

    One issue started happening for my users recently however, some get this, while others have no issue at all. The issue is :



    I was thinking it was something on their end possibly? I installed "betterlight" thinking that was 'monkeying' with something, but I installed it on my instance and can log into my server just fine.

    Has anyone else experienced this? It's happening to about a dozen of my users.

    yea. i think i MIGHT be getting a similar error. i get errors on my server log. and its all since the minecraft update. so. im asking around to see if and when the newest version will be out

    I am not 100% sure, but try removing the effected players savegame. Make a backup before of course. I had some of those errors in hmod.

    I think I MAY have solved it...

    This is one user's story from crash issues to working:

    1. I removed their player.dat file
    2. I have "general", in the MOTD I had the server announce their name and the player count, removing these 'tags', (through sifting on google, I guess there was a similar issue with an old hMod plugin which did the same)
    3. The user went to the website (minecraft.net) and their client updated from there, NOT from their standalone copy (which is interesting)
    4. After all the above were done they were able to log in, and play.
    I hope this helps anyone else out, I will update if I have more users who log in and this works for them as well.
