   how do i choose a texture pack for my server? i want players to have that texture pack when they log in, but does that mean it just changes to the default texture pack, (and players can change it) or does it make the players unable to change the texture pack? (if not is there a way to do this?)

   When you correctly set up server texture packs, players joining will be asked to switch to your texture pack, but at any point they can switch back to the texturepack of their choice.
   

   So you need to get a direct link (URL) to your texture pack, however mediafire and similiar won't work, as those don't provide direct links to their files. Most commonly you'd use Dropbox or another cloud storage that provides direct download URLs
