[Request] Slower Pistons

What I want: Hi, I'm looking for a plugins that would make pistons, and sticky pistons, not be able to move as fast, and instead be only able to move maybe once every 4 or 5 ticks? This would fix the duplication bug that emerged in 1.6, there shouldn't need to be a config, unless you want to add something where its configureable how fast the piston can move, but I don't see any point of that at the moment

Ideas for commands: There should not need to be any

When I'd like it by: ASAP please... I don't think anyone want's pistons to be disabled

You can't delete posts, and I messed up on the other one so... ya... anyways its a dupe glitch where if you make a sticky piston go on a clock, super fast, and make it extend every 1-2 ticks, then put the block you want to dupe (diamond block for example) in front of the piston so it starts pushing and pulling it back. Then, with a dirt block, or another useless block, between the block and the piston thats pushing and pulling out the block super fast. Once you get it, it will push both the blocks, yet turn the dirt into a diamond block. Look it up on youtube

 

There is no known piston dupes in 1.6.2. If there were, a plugin wouldn't be the appropriate way to fix it, it should be fixed in minecraft or bukkit itself.

 

I've tried it and it works. It works on other servers too, and single player. There IS a glitch and players on my server know about it. It isn't only my server. And also, a plugin could fix it, simply make it so pistons can't push as fast. Of corse this obviously won't fix the glitch, but it will make it so it doesn't work any more. Watch at 2:00

That's a client side graphical glitch—the block isn't really being duplicated. Try mining the blocks.

 

Thats really weird. I found someone with a house made of diamond blocks, and a double chest full of diamond blocks. Then after I left they were talking about the sticky piston dupe glitch...

The only admin on that had creative wouldn't do that. I checked the chat with logblock and the admin never mentioned anything about diamonds, and the person who had them never said thanks. Also, they never said anything about it, I was the one who found out about it.

 

Have you considered that some people communicate through other means than the server chat?

 

Yea, obviously, but the admin wouldn't do it, and the player was only online for 1 hour and was giving them away. If an admin gave them he would probobly hide them and keep them for himself. Because he knows he could never get any more. Still, he was only online for 1 hour, and it was 2 people

I can say that without a doubt this bug was patched long ago. You've either got staff corruption or a plugin problem.

Edit: I should say that the duplication bug was patched. The graphical glitch still exists because the client thinks the block is there, but the server does not.

 

Okay, that does make sence. But I still don't get how they would get the items. Could it be an exploit with 2 plugins? I had one that I patched where you could join mob arena with creative items and keep those items when you left, but I patched that... Any Ideas? My staff wouldn't do that especially to a player that's been online only 1 hour. Also, why would you only give them diamond blocks? They would give them beacons and enchantments and stuff, which I found none of. Also, I'm pretty sure it's not a creative glitch because most people would also bring beacons, nether stars, and enchantments instead of only diamond blocks...

 

These used to be a donkey dupe bug that has been patched.

 

That could be it... The players joined about 2-3 weeks ago
