I uploaded an updated version of my plugin (http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/easy-warp/) and after 60 hours of waiting (more than 6 of which it has been 'under review') it still hasn't been approved. These times are ridiculous. In my opinion, it's time to create some sort of system where, people who have had X number of approved files in the past (profile or project specific, whichever you feel would be better) have their plugin files go live instantly with a 'this file has not yet been approved by BukkitDev staff, it may contain hidden features that are harmful to your server, use at your own risk!' warning when you try to download it until it's approved by staff. This isn't just a post to get my file approved, because in the long run that isn't very helpful because this will just happen again and again with my, and others, future files. I shouldn't have to come in here and post every time I have a file I want to get approved. Please do something about these times.

    Thanks,

I don't think it's ridiculous at all. We've had 3 major releases this month, all of them resulting in an increase in file submissions. We work hard to get them approved as soon as possible, and 3 days is minimal compared to similar services which can take weeks. 60 hours isn't an ideal number, but that's definitely not normal, as you make it sound ("because this will just happen again..."). We're working hard to get past the recent influx of submissions and bring that number down to something more reasonable.

I think it's a good idea myself, or just allow users to download un-approved plugins with warning, I mean some people are waiting ages for the new Factions... I'll assume 99% of the bukkit community trust Factions.

I used to worry about these times, but now, I really don't care how long it takes.
I upload file, usually its approved the next day, but 24 hours really doesn't make a difference as far as I care

just subscribe to the plugins that you trust for uploads.

Your file was under review for 1.5 hours - not 6 as you claim.

I understand files taking a while to be approved can be concerning, but we often run into concerns with established projects. We handle approvals this way for very good reasons.
