How many players can I have

How many players can I have with the following specs:
I7 [email protected] ghz
16gb ram dedicated towards server
5mbps upload speed

 

My guess should be around 60-90 players

 

Not with that upload speed! You should have at least a 25Mb/s upload (that's megaBIT by the way.) and a 50Mb/s download. You computer specs are good, but it won't matter if you don't have a good internet connection.

 

This is true, go to www.speedtest.net and find your download speed, then go to www.canihostaminecraftserver.com and enter your information. Double it and you have your answer.

 

Agreed, The specs of the PC should support 200 + players, But looking at the speed extremely lowers the amount of bandwith that would be needed to support that many players. To back up the specs I would advise increasing your internet speed to around 25Mb/s up and 50Mb/s down.

 

The specs for your server should be able to cope easy with 150-200 players at any given time. Though, with 5MB/s upload, you are looking at 15 max 20 players at any given time, if you're lucky.
