    Plugin category: Administrative/Developer Tools

    Suggested name: QuickMod

    Description:

I'd like to see a plugin that takes the mods on a modded server and temporarily stores them on the player's client, so that they do not have to download the server's mods in order to login to that server.

No commands or permissions should be needed for this plugin to work properly, as it should work entirely in the background.

Timeframe: If possible I would like the plugin within a month or so from now.

I believe you just described spoutcraft. They still need a custom client to allow the mod to be downloaded automatically, minecraft does not allow this for security reasons.

It is possible that I was describing Spout-craft.

However, my friend swears that he saw a plugin here at Bukkit that could allow a person using vanilla minecraft to log onto a modded server and use those mods. Unfortunately, said mod is probably out of date and inactive. (I never found out the name of it, in case you ask what its name was.)

This leads me to believe that there is a way to perform said goal of allowing Minecraft users onto a modded server if they are using the standard vanilla Minecraft client.

durzanult Mods are impossible, that is why they created spout.
    EDIT: fixed typo

...and why bukkitforge was created... which is what I intend to use.

However, it still requires users to download FML and the other mods, which hinders players from accessing my server.

durzanult You just took down your own request...

Locked. You are looking for a client mod, which would be extremely complicated. Best to ask on a client modding site.
