   I heard that someone who sells plugins put code in it so if the person doesn't pay the coder could mess up the plugin. How do you do this?
   
   I know there are a few problems like the person could un-compile the code and bla bla bla. It doesn't matter.

   Depends on whether you are selling the plugin to one person, or to a bunch of different people.
   
   You could always have the plugin call back to your webserver with to see if the server IP matches the one in your database. But that's DRM, and they are evil.
