checking if a player is in a faction area

I need to be able to get a players location but make it so they can't place in factions land if they are in a factions land. could someone point me in the right direction? Also if I wanted my player to do like /spawner place <mobtype> would I need a Listener for this or could I just place it right below them?

Download the Factions plugin and use it as a resource.

 

Ok basically what I want to do is check if they are in another factions territory and then deny them access to place a block there, but if they are in their own faction land then they can place the place, I'm writing a custom plugin so it automatically places a block when they do a command and it places the spawner where they are standing.

 

I find Factions code bizzarre at best. Here is how I get the faction at player's location. See if that helps you at all.
