Can we use our already made server for this?

My friend has a server setup for Minecraft...we found an awesome underground cavern (we've spent about two weeks on this world now)...built a Nether portal...

We then find out nether portals don't work in multiplayer...

We really don't want to start all over, is it possible to use our already made game for this? I see there are mods for this that allow Nether realm use. If not, guess we'll just take a long break from Minecraft...we got really bummed out Nether doesn't work and starting over would suck.

    Thanks. :)

Yes, it is completely possible to use this on craftbukit (if that is what your asking). Just copy the world folder and paste it into the directory that contains your craftbukkit.jar, and specify the world name in server.properties. There are multiple plugins that allow use of nether portals, and in your case, I would get a basic one, that just takes you to and from the nether. You can use your old maps, and your old inventories (which are in the world folder and will be copied over with the world), so you don't need to take a break from Minecraft :)
