I can't get Faction tags to work

I'm trying to get Faction tags to show before a players username, but when I configure it and then test it I just see something like '<3 [FACTION] {Mod} exampleplayer123: hello'. I've googled for ways to help this and I tried the things I saw, but none of them worked for me for some reason. I would be grateful if someone could help.

Are you using v1.7.x and above?

 

probably factions version is 1.7.x or above, which has different tags.

 

To my understanding everything, everything is up to date. I can't get [factions_recolor] to work. Everything else is working.

 

It's [factions_relcolor]
