Alright, so, I've been learning Java in school and we just got into object based coding and actually talking about the real application to OOP, and I've been reading some src code of other Devs and it makes some sense but I'm still in the dark a little bit.

    What I'm looking for:
A Dev who maybe wants a little Peon who he can teach how to do his menial tasks so I could possibly script for you, and pose practical ideas. If this doesn't apply to you, If you can at least help me understand the flow of code between blocklisteners playerlisteners and anything else. Or if you just want to straight up teach me and you don't care about the benefits, I really don't care.

    What I'm not looking for:
"Tight, I write code like help menus and shit, I must be hardcore and good at this"
I understand, help menus do help (lol) the game, but I could even do that with enough time and energy drinks.

I hope to be a programmer one day, and I have a long way to go, I can take something small and see the bigger picture and I hope that will land me some credit one day.

    A little about me:
My name's Jordan, I'm 18, I'm mildly OCD (Code will always look very nice and organized, lol), and I think all logic through to make sure everything's working together. If you know what you're talking about, I listen. I've been playing games since the original NES, I love video games and have a passion for making them better for the community by introducing mods. Alright, that's all I can type for now.

For some of y'all (I'm Texan) this may sounds stupid- DON'T POST THEN - but this means a lot to me. If you'd like to take me up on this contact me through the forum, Thanks in advanced.

If you are willing to do the work and put the effort in.. welcome.

Get yourself a free github account and a set up your development environment. Use Eclipse and set up your security keys first.

  3. I would help, but I don't have the time:( Sorry, real life is a pain.

How do I setup security keys? I usually use JCreator and haven't really gotten used to Eclipse.

Edit: Setup eclipse with SWT and whatnot. How do you want to do this whole mentoring thing? AIM, Skype? Maybe one of those screencap meeting sites. Or just e-mails/pm's if that's easier.

Is there a Bukkit Dev IRC (Where only people that dev can chat) ? Maybe that would be sexy ^_^

Mentoring is defined as me showing you a path, and you walking it, maybe asking questions as you do so.

Di you look into the code I asked you to?
