Can someone make a plugin that connects with PermissionsEx and so if someone applies a nickname, it will put there real username in a prefix like so: Before: [Owner]CtrlAltDelMW: Hi! After: [Owner][CtrlAltDelMW]~Tyler: Hi!
MinerMovies You can set the suffix of the player, if you set the suffix to the nickname then you have what you want. So : Make an alias for /nick, the command what is actually ran is /pex user <name> suffix <your new nickname>
What do you mean by auto? You want a prefix to auto generate out of thin air? Use your permission plugin, almost all of them support prefix/suffix. If you don't have permissions then you're doing something wrong.
I think he wants this to happen automatically: When a player does /nick, a new prefix will be generated containing the real username and add it after the existing prefix. I don't know about keeping the current prefix and adding on to it but the rest should be doable with an alias
Basically, you don't want every player to have brackets around their name, just the nicknamed ones? Then I get your point
So, no ones up for this? If no one takes it on withing a day or two I'll do it. 'Lil busy atm you see
I'm working on it. Right now I have it set up so that by default you have '[ActualName] ~Alias' when you type /alias [target] <name>. Colour support is included (but you'll need a separate permission to use them), and there is the /aliased command to see a list of everyone with nicknames. With a specific permission, you'll be able to mask your real name using /alias -m [target] <name>. Aliases will be removed by using /alias -r [target]. I'm also adding support for removing aliases when people log out, and also potentially clearing everyone's display name when the server restarts (all configurable, of course).
