    Hi!
I've been wondering if bukkit could recognize some keys.
For example: If you press "H" then you are teleported home or something like that.
After searching for this I couldn't find anything. The only thing that I found was that it is possible only with spoutcraft :(
But then how does this plugin work?:http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/crackshot/
(When you press "Q" the weapon is reloading)
I really want to know how to make a plugin that recognize custom keys.

    Any ideas ?

I'm Romanian so sorry for mistakes.

    Anyone ?

    Please.

Q is already recognized by the game, it drops items by default.

With that, I would assume the plugin listens for the player dropping items and changes the behavior. Without mods, the client does not send individual key presses.

Also, you don't need to bump a post within a minute of posting.

    Well thanks anyway...
If I could modify listeners I would make an Anti-Xray/Nodus plugin. It could detects the player and store his name in a list when he press X (toggle X-Ray) and Y (toggle Nodus Menu)
Now i know it's impossible I have no idea what to do :(

If there was such an easy way to detect hacks, you can be sure there would be plugins made many times over for it. Not only that, but you would see the clients change rather fast to avoid detection by any simple method that someone creates.

If the client sent individual key presses, there would be some security issues as well as having little actual use. A modified client could also modify itself to not send accurate information.

Although, with this particular method, you would have no way of knowing if the X/Y key press was legitimate or not, someone might use it for inventory or hit it on accident.
