   what's the point of using sql then ? Will it be faster that way ? You can just serialize those objects into string.

   http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/serializing-itemmeta-and-all-your-wildest-dreams.137325/ Then you can serialize the HashMap to whatever format you want to use to keep it in the table. A lazy way to do it is just to use an OOS and ByteArrayOutputStream, then put it into the table as a BLOB.
