Hello, I have a pretty good idea for an automated minigame, which would incorporate different skill factors and objectives. My idea is this. You spawn onto one of three team sides, Blue (water), Red (evil), Brown (earth), or Green (elf). All of these are "races", each with different abilities, and different kits. Water can move quickly through water, regenerate health in water, and cannot drown. They carry a bucket of water which they can use to block opponents, a stone sword, and reed, which deals 2 damage if someone enters. Earth have speed potion, are more capable with axes, and can deal more damage with iron swords. They, however, have a potion of slowness. Evil can shoot ender pearls to spawn mobs where they hit, and do not take damage from other mobs. They carry web, which they can trap opponents for 30 seconds with, have flint and steel which they can use to shoot opponents with. They, however, do not regenerate health. Finally, Elf deal twice the damage with bows, and can heal using paper, but are weaker than both of the other two races, with potion of weakness. The objective is to kill of each of the other races, and If your race does so, you get extra points, kept track by the xp bar. If you kill one of the other races, you get 10 points, and your kills/deaths along with team kills/deaths are shown using the 1.5 scoreboard feature. After all of the other races are killed off, everyone is kicked and the world resets into a new world. The teams have an "altar" of sorts (just a few blocks of that color) where they spawn, and have 20 seconds to run around in the 500x500 world before the 20 second pvp cease is lifted. This would be an immense plugin, and I would be willing to pay if no one picks it up right away. Thanks! ~ccrama
So if I get this right, you expect a programmer, to just pick up a project, because you say it'll be good. Without knowing any details? It also seems like it'll be quite a big one, so more details is almost a must to be honest.
Makes me thing a little of the Avatar plugin. I'd be willing to pick this project up, as most of it seems to be possible. However, I'd like to discuss some of the things further in private, do you have Skype?
There is a problem. For so far I know, you can't let players swim faster, so that is impossible for the waterclass
It is possible to remove the water they touch, and put a block where they walk, in order for them to be able to move faster in water. It won't be the same thing, but it should work.
Exactly. I'm waiting for Dinnerbone to finish his built in Mod thing in the Minecraft client. Perhaps we would be able to even edit client properties with just plugins. Meaning that would be possible. If that doesn't happen I might cry :')
Actually, it is open again. Cupcakes69 stole our world and left the server, deleting the plugin with an auto-updating code. I am actually re-looking for a developer. I think that he stole my idea, by using me for building and then created a script to stop taking logs, asked for a world download (He told me it was for testing and bug fixes), and then a message saying he was leaving. So I do not recommend him for future projects :l
Excuse me? 1) I made most of the world. 2) I had been working for a lot of time on that, but I get treated as if I am a slave? Good luck finding someone to be your new slave.
You stopped logs, deleted your plugin, and took our world. How is that treating you as a slave? I am assuming this was your intention, because just before that "freak" log stop (after your update), you asked for the worlds, and after I left the game, so did fast. He said nothing. Then you updated again to say you are leaving because of fast. I know this part is true, because I scrolled up into the console. After I left, so did he, so your story does not add up. Then you suddenly go offline. Some clarification might help.
Uhh, I'm just going to jump in here.. You created some simple buildings and changed stuff around here-and-there.. That doesn't add up to most of the world. We treated you with the up most respect, gave you the top rank, joked around with you. That's a 100% childish and selfish move you pulled Man, and you won't be missed.
You still have the worlds, don't you? Anyhow, all I did was erase the plugin (Which I wrote for 100%) , so I didn't take anything away. Do you even realise what damage I could've done to the hosting computer with that updater if I wanted to? What are you on about? I didn't stop any logs. All I did was replace MY plugin, with just a message, a message to you. It wasn't my intention to leave, I was just fed up with fast's actions. Tell him to go follow some anger management courses and get him to realise that he can't be a douche to everyone he doesn't know, that won't be healthy further in life. I'm not replying to this thread any further, as this would only cause more fighting. Heads up, I'll probably release the plugin on BukkitDev after finishing it.
OH well, my idea will soon be released to the public. Mod please lock/delete this thread. No use if my idea will soon be given to everyone with an MC server.
Do you realize what you just said? How people will never trust you now as a private coder? I cannot BELEIVE you really just said that.
One last thing, I said if I wanted to, because it is possible. If I would've meant any harm, I could've. There's enough people that I have been programming for that are very glad with my work and never had any trouble. All I ask for in return is a little respect and to not be treated as if I were nothing. I wouldn't do such damage to people because I do not go to such a low level. Nor would I want the same thing to happen to me, so I don't do it to others. All I really did was remove what was mine.
If you wanted to be treated than more than nothing, you wouldn't have deleted the plugin and ran while I was away instead of explaining yourself. I am done here, mod please lock.
