Hey guys, I'm hoping I can get some help here. I've been running my server solid for about 2 months now and other than some random plugin compatability issues it's been a cakewalk. This afternoon however, I've run into a seemingly serious issue. I noticed after a server reset that some random blocks on my most recent build had disappeared. Put them back, no problem. Did another reset, same issue. Then I noticed that some blocks weren't able to be destroyed.

Take this photo. The redstone to the right can't be deleted. If I hit it, it "breaks" but I don't get the dust back. 4 second later the wire re-appears. However, the block to the left CAN be destroyed without the block re-appearing, and I'm able to pick up the cobblestone. I can place blocks fine as well. If I restart the server, randomly the blocks will revert to the way they were before.... maybe. Sometimes it's fine! I'm really confused. My console isn't throwing out any errors. The only thing I've done recently plugin wise was switched from Chernobyl's General to Dvorak's. I tried reverting back with still no effect. I'm running 556, and have been for two weeks, yet this just all of a sudden started happening. Any help would be appreciated!

try setting the spawn protection size to 0. I know you are not on the spawn BUT maybe someone or some plugin moved it.

Nope. Didn't do anything. It looks like the server is just not saving block placements. Even if it looks like the block is being placed or deleted, on a server restart, they're gone. Even tried doing a "save-all" before stopping the server, and still, when I restart the server, all the changes have been reset. I guess I'll have to do a systematic check of the plugins, see where the issue is. I loaded up without any plugins and it seemed to be fine... so I'm not sure at this point what the heck is going on.

Check file permissions in your world directory, and see if the files are being updated.

Not sure exactly what you mean, but it looks like they're being updated. I'm pretty sure it was a plugin causing the issues, I've been re-enabling them one at a time, and it seems to be working
