Another permissions problem...

Okay so the VIP rank can't go into creative mode.

I've run it through the YMAL parser, and it came up clean.

My partner says that it is an essentials problem.

She even tried adding the permission directly to the user, essentials.creatve and essentials.survival, and they still do not have access to the command.

Shining_KoW210 Not sure where you got essentials.creative and essentials.survival from, but I believe what you're looking for is essentials.gamemode (and/or essentials.gamemode.others), according to the Essentials Permission Node Reference.

 

That fixed the issue, thanks! I don't know why essentials.creative and essentials.survival are listed if they don't work(Admins can do /creative and /survival). But essentials.gamemode is functional. Hooray!

Our other issue now is that people within the Member rank can no longer create towns in Towny. The only thing that changed was the Bukkit update.

 

Glad to hear that's working with the proper node.

If you're referring to this Towny and the 1.5 Bukkit update, that's probably why. Towny may need not be fully compatible with 1.5 yet, as the only CraftBukkit 1.5 builds available are Development builds.

these commands are alias of /gamemode, not standalone commands. the permission is essentials.gamemode.
i dont see essentials.creative nor essentials.survival anywhere.
