Well, I guess this isn't possible then. Even though I have seen it. Anways, the next best thing you can do is make a sign saying (Here Lies [player]) and when you right click it it opens a chest with the player that died's inventory. Also, when you take all items the sign disappears.

This IS possible, Not 100% as perfect as you'd like, But I'm pretty sure you could spawn a Human Entity (NPC), And have him in a bed position or Minecart / boat Position (http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/fake-players-npcs.115895/) , There could also be blood effects (Redstone particles) coming out of him, And he could be constantly red by being damaged and healed. Just, the thing is, The plugin would be VERY Difficult.

 

So, my developer has found a way to do this and should release the first version soon. He is VERY experienced with Java. If anyone is interested I'll go ahead and post a mediafire link or something (As he doesn't have a BukkitDev and we don't want much players to know about this).

What happened?

 

On death you can just use "PlayerEnterBedAnimation". That will have that laying down effect like a corpse..
