Plugin category: mechanics Suggested name: Eggs What I want: A plugin that allows you to have different eggs. The eggs are: - all vanilla eggs - bunny when you place them it will be placed as an egg, wait 1 minecraft day and it will be the chosen animal/mob. Ideas for commands: No commands needed for this plugin. Ideas for permissions: none needed When I'd like it by: ASAP is this more of a mod? If it is then just make the vanilla eggs work the way i would like -BUMP- EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
Yh just retextured dragon egg that can hatch into a mob and broadcast a (name of animal) has hatched Come onnguys this couldnt be too hard? EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
why not just have it display an egg on the ground through an item displayment type feature (ShowcaseStandAlone for example) instead of a dragon egg it would look mor realistic it would be hard learn something about programming before saying something like that
You can't change the texture of separate objects using just Bukkit. You would need to have something like Spout.
God damn :/ Its only retexturing. I only want spawn eggs to be like dragon eggs but they hatch, and are baby's thats all
I'm talking about a chicken egg or mob spawn egg on the ground like when you drop an item. but that item stays there no matter what until the mob hatches. that would be possible if you wanted something like that
its not "just retexturing" you would have to retexture it in a way that only that specifc egg, no others would have that texture, which is extremely complicated and not possible in vanilla minecraft. spout however can do this, although it would require any user that wants to see it to have the spoutcraft client, i suggest asking in the spout forums about this as they would probably be far better at this sort of thing
Id did some more research, and the dragon-egg uses a separate texture in terrain.png. It's next to the enchanting table. It should be possible to re-texture it, or do other blocks rely on that texture as well?
Just drop the retexturing. Instead just make a way to display what kind of egg it is when a player right clicks. When that problem is out of the way, this one is a piece of cake.
