Cannot resolve hostname? what?

    Ok, so I made my own bukkit server and I can't connect to it! I portforward it and I know what my ip is. When I add my server with that ip and the right port number, 25565, it says "can't resolve hostname". what? I'm so confused. please help. D:

    Use a port checker tool like:
    http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/
    Can't resolve hostname means it can't find the address you've directed too.
    If you're just trying to connect to your own server on the same PC use the IP "127.0.0.1" or "localhost"
