    Hello,
I have my domain name hosted with 123reg, using the 123reg name servers. Here are my two servers.

    tekkit.mycraftserver.co.uk:25565
    pvp.mycraftserver.co.uk:25566

I want players to be able to connect to our PVP server by just typing in pvp.mycraftserver.co.uk without including the port. As I believe, this is possible with SRV records.

mycraftserver.co.uk goes to our dedicated server IP, and tekkit.mycraftserver.co.uk goes there as well. Here is mycraftserver.co.uk.

    and here is tekkit.mycraftserver.co.uk:

Here is my current SRV Record setup or PVP :

Here are the coniguration options for the DNS settings on 123reg:

I'm not sure where I'm going wrong, but if someone more experienced can point me if the right direction I'd be very grateful. Thanks for the help,

Ill show you mine. I use godaddy. Godaddy is extremely shit and limiting, but I really don't feel like switching. lol.

Please note, you are not to include any port stuff in the destination address. This will work only with servers on the default port of 25565, which minecraft assumes from these kind of links.

In my DNS manager, this is what I put to magnet my server.

As you can see, the @ entry points all urls without a sub to the main IP to get served. That would be my website IP.
the play entry will point directly to my server. It's as simple as that.

Thanks for the reply DuneRacoon, however I'm looking to use SRV Records to point subdomains to an IP and Port. As you can see from my post, tekkit.mycraftserver.co.uk points to my dedicated server IP (that runs tekkit) but I also want another server running there under a different port.

As I believe, SRV Records allow you to point a subdomain to an IP and Port, not just an IP.

Thanks for the response though :)

Semajnad That is correct. I have done this, and I think this might be useful for you.
