    First of all, i know i posted the same in minecraft discussion, but i want to know wich is best for both.

    While experimenting around with java for a while, i realised the big difference between oracle's openjdk and sun's JRE. My question is, wich is best for bukkit? Is there a specific reason?

    Why did you not include an option for Oracle JDK?

    JDK bundles in a few extra tools like jstack which can be useful for troubleshooting Java issues.

    Oh. I read somewhere that Oracle made OpenJDK, and sun made JRE. I thought there wasn't any other (i know that was stupid).
