Towny vs Factions: What's the difference?

    Personally I have never used either Towny nor Factions an my server. I heard they are the same but also different? Can somebody please give me the pros and cons of each?
    I heard Towny promotes economical growth where as Factions promotes military growth. Please leave your comment.

    Towny: More economic & more civilized.

    Factions: More military and power rather than being more civilized, which is why most Factions server have destroyed land around spawn.
