Hi, Plugin category: Administrative Addons Suggested name: InvisiblePots See What I want: A plugin that allows an admin to see people who are invisible due to the use of the potion. So the player remains invisible to everyone else, but admins are able to see them. Why I want it: I hate tping to someone to check what they are doing and not even being able to see them, makes the moderation of a server a lot harder. Also I am having big problems with invisible people using poison potions to kill people, without players even seeing whose doing it. Ideas for commands: /invisiblesee on /invisiblesee off Ideas for permissions: invisible.see : if true the player can see people who have used an invisible potion. invisible.see.toggle: If true the player can toggle if they can see or not see invisible people. When I'd like it by: As soon as possible.
Because a fair few people who do enjoy pvp and mob hunting, love them. But other players aren't keen, so I was hoping it was possible to somehow let certain players see invisible people.
What could be possible is to substitute 2 wool blocks as the player. Send packets so only the admin sees it
Would every single player be wool blocks, or only when the invisible effect is applied to the player? (not sure if this is an event that is sent or not) If it can be applied to only invisible players that would be perfect! Maybe a permissions node so you can make that true for certain players?
I don't want to block the use of the potion as people enjoy using them! As an admin I just want to be able to see the people that are invisible, even if it's just a name tag or something.
Then you would have to cancel the invisibility potion and just vanish the player for a certain amount of time. I don't think there is a plugin out there yet that does this.
I would happily donate like £10 to get it made! If you do decide to help out, then maybe make the block that they are when they are invisible toggleable?
Sorry didn't mean to offend anyone with my comment, I just consider this a vital plugin for a pvp server. As you want the potions active, but as an admin you still need to moderate people (you kinda need to see them to moderate them.)
The wool idea doesn't seem very useful because you wouldn't be able to see which player is the invisible one... A better idea would probably be edit the invisibility potion effect so that whenever a player gets hit by an invisibility potion, hook into a vanish plugin such as vanishnopacket to vanish the player. Admins will still be able to see this vanished player.
An even better method would be to use ProtocolLib to block the Packet41MobEffect for invisibility from going to admins.
I suck at packets so I would go with creating a fake player that only the admins could see that acts just the way the invisible player does, without the invisibility ofc :3 Edit: Not really sure it's possible, but I believe it is looking at all these plugins like Citizens.
