    Change "%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar craftbukkit.jar to "%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -Xmx3G -Xms3G -jar craftbukkit.jar

Also, if you're hosting from home, your internet might not have fast enough speeds.

This increases the amount of RAM that the server uses (Improving potential)

Either way you failed, If your computer only has 3GB ram, then you cant host it. and your run.bat is set to 1GB of ram dedicated to the server, not 3.

but if i change it to 4 GB (i have 4 GB on my home pc) it says this:

    C:\users\Owner\Desktop\server\java 6
'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
Could not create the java virtual machine.
Press any key to continue ...

Why cant i use it for 4 GB?

    This is what i use:

    Java 6
    @ECHO OFF
    SET BINDIR=%~dp0
    CD /D "%BINDIR%"
    "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xincgc -Xmx4G -jar CraftBukkit.jar
    PAUSE

This is because you cannot dedicate all of you RAM to the server. Try lower numbers like 2500M

I can host my server... It's just abit laggy when more people come on. I am looking into getting more RAM though :)

Again: Please do not bump your topic every 5 minutes!

On-topic: If you lagg, it's because your computer can't handle it. Home computers aren't made to host a server for even more then 10 players. Also, your internet may be very dodgy. Also, that isn't made to host a public server.

If you can't pay or don't want to pay for hosting, just stop creating public servers on a home computer. It won't work.

Many people do host on their own computers, maybe they won't get as many players or something but stop saying that if you host it on your own computer that you won't succeed

Wrong, i dont know what pc u have, but i have started a home server on a other pc at home for 50 players :) no lagg, then i started to pay for a host, so do not say that hosting on your own pc won't succeed!

It has been proven that home computers cannot 'succeed'. Name me 1 popular Minecraft server that is running from somebody's home computer. Can you? No.

Like I said: 1) Usually a home computer doesn't have the specs to host a server and 2) In almost every case the internet connection is not able to host a server. Both of these factors can and will cause lag on your server.

Please don't argue, and just go with a host. There are plenty of cheap hosts out there. I've seen popular hosts with 5$ per GB (PM me if you want details, can't advertise here).

"home server on a other pc". You're saying it yourself. Another PC. I was mentioning a home computer. Of course, if you have a beasty 3100K (or whatever) i7 and a 100Mbit connection in your house, it is possible. It's still not recommended, and hosting for 50 players doesn't mean you always have 50 players online. I honestly don't believe that you had 50 players online, if you don't have a good (100Mbit+) connection.

Aha. As I host my own on my "home" computer, you do know home computers can have 16 gb and Intel I7?

How many times do you want me to say that it doesn't always matter what specifications you have? A good internet connection is very important as well. The average American household doesn't have a good internet connection.
