I just set up my server with server_ip blank in properties. I am able to connect via localhost and my ip like 192... But noone else is able to connect. I am sure that i activated the port, and i have to use online_mode false because some of the users i want to connect have cracked minecraft. Did I miss something? What could be the reasons for the problem? Kryppuk
First thing - those people should buy the game. Its damn cheap and provides hours of fun. Seriously, why pirate? Anyway, your problem is that you need to open the ports on your router and make sure your firewall has the proper exceptions. If you can't connect externally, you haven't done it correctly.
kay telling them your advice to buy, and just activated port at fritzbox but what do you mean with connecting externally? if you mean connecting through my ip: 192.XXX.XXX.XX i could do that before enabling the port on fritz box. TY for your help is the only thing i could say
Connecting with an IP of 192.168.x.x is your internal IP. The External IP is the one that can be found by going to whatismyip.org Unless your friends are at your house, in your LAN, you'll need to give them the external IP
kay thanx, that actually was my mistake. By the way, do you know a way to get minecraft except for credit card, because some of my friends are not in the legal age of getting a credit cart.
