  1. Hello,

Is it possible to run multiple java versions on linux os? I have installed java 6, and I start it from a folder, it's not installed as default java "/usr/java/jre1.6.0/bin/java".

Is it safe installing another java version and starting different server with it? While other minecraft servers are runing 1.6.

I hope this is not too confusing xD

No, there shouldn't be a problem. Though when installing a new version it likely will overwrite the path variable (what the java command calls). Just use the absolute paths and you should be fine.

I am running multiple java versions on my Linux server. Just change the java start command to use a different java executable then the other.
