    REWORDED
    Plugin category: ???

    Suggested name: ModMan

ALL RIGHT. here i go requesting the plugin of my dreams.

What I want: A plugin client mod combo.
THE PLUGIN: retains a folder filled with zipped client mods that are placed by the server owner. This plugin sends the mods to the client, provided it has the client mod for the plugin.
THE CLIENT MOD: Recieves the mods from the plugin and installs the mods to the minecraft.jar to the best of its ability. The client mod places the mods in a folder in the jar, and applies those mods to the client if connected to the plugin. If it is not connected to the plugin, the mods go back into the folder.

Ideas for commands: No commands needed for this plugin.

Ideas for permissions: No Permissions needed for this plugin

When I'd like it by: As soon as it can be done :3

I would love this plugin, but according to my knowledge of bukkit, I regret to say this isn't possible.
TO MY KNOWLEDGE: bukkit does not and can not interface with the jar file of mine craft in regards to files and changing code. It would require mods outside the scope of bukkit, and probably outside mine craft to archive.
There fore I would probably say that these forums are not appropriate for such a request, and would have to recommend speaking to a professional developer to do such a request.

I know that this isnt possible without a client mod of some kind. but i know that mods and plugins can interact with one another.
Im asking if both a client mod and a plugin that interacts with that client mod can do this.
the plugin sends the mod data it has to the mod in the client, and the client mod, installs the recieved mods.
if i am misunderstanding this, do help me understand.

  4. i dont think this is possible, the thing with place it blahblah when player connects and delete it when player leaves, u cant edit the file when the player leaves becus the server isnt connected with the client anymore,so he cant do anything, for that u had to use something like a /leave command that deletes the mods and then sends a msg to the player like 'u can leave now' or something, if you want mods on your server then i suggest you to take a tekkit server, and then delete the mods u dont want and take a look at this: http://www.mcportcentral.co.za/index.php?board=3.0
