Is the're possible to claim somme cpu power to help the bukkit server to run more smoothly ? I want to share my cpu power with a server with a launcher or mod or via launcher or other method. If i have miss the writh place for my demand or if anyone know a partial method to help server with any ohther method please help me to find a way. I'm not know tis forum all plugins etc.. and i just want help. Be free to give me link pointing on post documentation or other things who can help me or the server. Java optimisation ? Bukkit run command ? Threaded Plugins ? Threading one world on one specific cores ? Disabling Hyperthreading will help ? ... any feedback or optimisation any help will be realy apréciated. the spec of the bukkit server is : 200mb of garanted bandwith 1x Intel® Xeon® E3 1220 4 coeurs 3.1 GHz, cache L3 8 Mo, 64 bits, virtualisation 16 Go DDR3 ECC 2x 2 To SATA2 7k2 It run on ubuntu x64 of courses
I don't really understand all the things you're asking but you should definitely try "Spigot" a forked build of the original Craftbukkit.jar (s) it makes some neat changes that drastically improved my servers performance (doesn't require any effort. it just replaces your craftbukkit.jar)
Sorry but i think craftbukkit is a big project and y don't want to use another server because of every works all people trust in this project and if y had be millionary ^^. So thank a lot for all bukkit contributors and community i know its difficult but its allready great just some work and feedback etc i can't fill your bank, nut i want too fill your minds with a big "Courage et merci beaucoup de tous ce que vous tous faites" and "Joyeux Noël" En français : voila un amis a moi a un serveur du type décrit plus haut. Je voudrais savoir si il serait possible de séparé certain calcul du serveur, et de les faire calculé aux clients. Le serveur jouerai alors de role de vérificateurs et plus de calculateur de tout les chunks etc. En gros le serveur minecraft ou ici en l'occurence Craftbukkit, gere tout et envoies les données au clients. La question que je me pose serait : est t'il possible de soustraire une grosse partie des calcul que celui ci execute en faisant calculé aux client leurs charge proprent, et evidement verifié dans les grandes lignes que personne ne triche ^^. La seule chose que j'imagine facile a faire comme modification, serait de separé les mondes sur un core differents puisque les mondes sont normalement separé.
