Hey folks, I'm looking at building a Faction based server for my guild to mess around with. I wanted to reach out to you all and see if you have any recommended plugins for such a setup. Anything from the faction plugin itself to something that might be fun or interesting with the server. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!
If you want to be like most other faction servers, get McMMO. It seems like almost every faction server has this plugin... From an administrative standpoint (as in this won't make your server more fun or interesting), I'd recommend: - Orebfuscator/some Anti x-ray plugin: X-raying can destroy the fun on a PvP server - A censoring plugin: There will be lots of raging and cursing - AntiCheat or NoCheatPlus - Some form of an AntiPvPLogger: Punishes users for logging out in the heat of battle If I think of anything fun, I'll come back. ^_^
If you don't mind swears on your server, don't get a swearing plugin. However, make sure you have staff at hand, if raging does get out of hand. Also advertise your server on forums and voting sites to constantly get new people. Although, dedicated players of your server will stay, you will see many others leave due to rage. If there is no one to pvp with, how fun would a pvp server be?
