Forgive me if this is a rather simple question, I'm quite unexperienced with server running. I am running a Vanilla-ish server and I would like to set it up where only ops can do /sethome. This way they can go an check on others, and also I don't want other players to have /tp either, only ops.

*Note: if you want Bukkit commands/plugins, you might need a Bukkit server. I am not completely sure on this, however.

First off, I would recommend installing the Group Manager plugin from the Essentials creators. The plugin is very simple and useful for permissions. Note: I am not sure if I am allowed to show URLs, so I apologize for you needing to go and get what I mention by yourself. Get Notepad++. Go to Google Search and type in Notepad++ download, searching might be needed. The program is free and there are no signups required. Next, go to the plugin in your server plugins folder. Right-click it and click on Open with Notepad++. Your file should appear with all of your groups showing up (default groups of course). Everything else is very easy. Type in any command you have installed on the server into the group of your choice and click on save at the top right hand corner.

For further instruction on adding groups, you should look it up on Google or Youtube. To add a user to a group in-game, type manuadd <player> <group>

I hope this could be of help,

    Symbiosis :)

Bukkit commands and plugins do require a Bukkit server and THEDIRECTOR follow what Symbiosis said
