Not entirely sure if this is the right place to ask this, but: I know that's there's a way to ban items in Essentials. But, there isn't a way to ban certain potions, wool, etc. Such as 373:8206, 373:8270, 373:16398, and 373:16462 for invisibility potions. Is there some other plugin or a work around that would allow me to ban that certain item? That didn't really help at all . I tested with wool and I was unable to place the block with the build permission.
http://pastebin.com/6gUu39Sx Edit: Oh wait, permissions, derp. One second. My permission files are empty, I use McMyAdmin. But the permission I added was essentials.build.place.35:10 for purple wool to be placed and I had banned the placement of wool (35) in the config.yml above. I don't think you understand, or maybe I don't understand, but there is permissions set, I'm using McMyAdmin which deals with permissions? I'm not entirely sure how it works but it does. Or maybe I'm not understanding >.>. So there's no way to do this inside the config.yml file for Essentials?
Not all of us wanna use EssentialsBuild. ;/ It's for less hardcore servers, like building type servers. *Looks at my hardcore server where I need to disable some potions*
Don't use Essentials dude it sucks lol World guard can block items using the blacklist and block potion effects using the flags
mcmyadmin is not a permission plugin. it hooks to a permission plugin. the config blacklist blocks by ID only, which is why you need the perms based antibuild. but he is using essentialsantibuild. i dont see your point. good job missing the entire point and forgetting worldguard cant black list by metadata either.
Essentials is working fine and I've got two different worlds, a building world, and a survival world. Would you recommend me using multiple different plugins that Essentials does already? When it loads up it checks for a permission file then tells me it's empty. Is there some other permission file I don't know about? Can you explain step by step? Because I've never used antibuild.
thats the bukkit permissions.yml, never used it, but i think its for only making parent/child nodes. as for antibuild, you use it like this: when permission plugin exists, you give the node essentials.build.* - allows access to everything then, you negate permissions to use certain stuff (black listing) by following http://ess.khhq.net/wiki/AntiBuild to see what nodes you need to negate exactly.
