This is NOT a repost or anything like this from this req.

Plugin category: RolePlay, Mechanics, Fun :)

    Suggested name: QuestBook

What I want: A Plugin wich lets you create NPC with a changing Name per state of your quest. If you accept a quest, you'll get a signed book wich has the name of the quest and book's content is the description of your quest/with refreshing progress bars (like "Kill Pigs (9/10)).

Your compass will point to the place where the quest is, when you have the book in your hand/equipped. If you accomplish the task of your quest the books' title will show be shown in grey (or yellow) (is it possible to have colored book titles?).-

You talk to one of the npc in a village and it will say some text. if you match the requirements to accept a quest of him you will be asked if you wanna do that for him. You say "yes" by left-clicking" and "no" by right-clicking.

Every NPC with more that one quest will have a order of the quests wich you must write down at the config. You create the quests by having a folder named "quests". you enter it and see "example.txt" the example-quest has the correct format for the plugin to read it. Here you can do whatever you want and your limits will be just your imagination and WorldofWarcraft (<-- wut ? ^^).

The Quest-NPC will have allways a tag:
[!] Franz-Walter (if he has a quest for you, this overwrites the others)
[?] Heinrich (if he is waiting for you accomplish his task)
[?] Karl-Heinz (if you accomplished the task and you may want to bring him stuff, or tell him that you killed thousand bandits'n stuff)

    The quests can be:
    Move (distance /point)
    kill
    collect
    talk
    deliver
    rank/permission

And the requirements to get a quest can be:
level (in any level-based plugin like heroes)
    rank/permission
    items
    money
    or potion buffs

Ideas for commands: The citizens commands to create and name NPC's. /quest add Karl-Heinz Collect BANANANANA! to make him a quest npc with the "Collect BANANANANA!"-Quest. /quest remove Karl-Heinz all would make him a regular citizens-npc

Ideas for permissions: questbook.acceptquests - the permission to use the plugin as a user
questbook.admin - to have accest to the two commands :D

Have you tried searching? you clearly have alot of patience.
Im not upto-date with plugins that com out of here so np98765 is there something similar to this?

    np98765

Nope. It probably could be done with a combination of plugins (VT, Citizens/Denizens, etc.) but it would take quite a bit of creativity. The OP probably wouldn't get all of the features he/she wants.

I feel like Denizen can do everything he asked Except for the book part
and i can imagine that being nightmarishly difficult :(
might wanna just make the Denizens all have the same "info" command that TELLS you your quest progress
This is all already possible (but for the book)

Nametags with TAGAPI might be able to add the ? and ! on your npcs (but i doubt that too sadly )

What i do is make Exclamation marks out of Wool blocks above npcs lol :)
it's cheap but it gets the job done :)

You can make NPCS /paste worldedit schematics too. so NPCS could change from ? to ! to (nothing) but it would all be physical wool blocks above their head and sadly would change globally (not per player)

This is really interesting… it might be a good enough replacement for citizens on my server. I will see what I can do with this, but no guarantees. This is a huge project.

    Hey, so mutch responses ^^

Ye, i know that ist difficoult to do but i think that this is possible for bukkit (<- note that i said "POSSIBLE" :D)
It just would be soooo intuitive tu use without any commands, and i really dont want to "replace" Cititzens with the idea i just wanted to bring you my idea of a questplugin. Because all existing questplugins .. yeah.. they suck.. (ore are not longer updated :C )

    Greetings Virtu

Nope Denizens cant do the compass and book part, and every quest would be a horrible "expenditure" (<- said google, is it correct ?). But i feel like denizens is more the part for scripting some guys who sit in stores or houses and just talk to you ^^

    Greetings Virtu

Oh! Did i mentioned that you should have a look at this, if you are interestet in my "MMO-Quest-Experience-kindofthing"

    (not again ..) Greetinngs Virtuu

    EDIT1:

Denizens can't do those things, correct

But Don't give up on Denizen for questing. It is AMAZING. and can do EVERYTHING (plus the kitchen sink)
your first quests take you a bit of time and thought but after that its just copy and paste and tweak the text/reward/objective

You can always just make it simple.

Right click on NPC. They give you an assignment.

    Complete assignment.

Right click on NPC again. Get reward. Boom.
