Plugin category: Fun, Redstone Suggested name: Passcard What I want: Brief With the introduction of books we have an unlimited amount of unique items, as far as I know at least. The idea I got is to make passcards, which is a book with a special ID. You then use this card with a terminal (configurable block) which, if correct sends a redstone signal. More I'm not sure exactly how it's going to be done and it can be advanced so that all depends on what the dev feels like. But the idea is that person one, let's call him the CEO, goes to a terminal, either a special one or just a regular terminal by a door or just with commands, and right clicks it with a book he can then using commands register which doors that it can open, either terminal by terminal or by terminal ID maybe? Now the CEO has a passcard that works with door 3 and 4 but not 1 and 2 meaning that he can safely give it to his Employee without risking that he will get robbed. Are you starting to catch my idea? Ideas for commands: All depends on how it will be set up but If usecommands = true then /passcard register <Terminalnumber> (while holding a book) Else if usecommands = false then Rightclick terminal you own with an empty card to register it. Else Come up with better idea. Ideas for permissions: passcard.create passcard.use passcard.override When I'd like it by: No hurry, it's just an idea I had which I'm planning on using for a server that's currently in planning. I hope you like the idea. Thanks! FerkSwe
It would be impossible to make it look like a terminal without spout, but not make it act like one. You dont need any GUI on the terminal only the ability to right/leftclick it with a book and have the plugin register that.
This is a great idea for locking doors! combine it with bookshop/copybook/or shelfit and you can have cloned key cards per team/base/village etc I'd totally use this heaps if you get it made!
