How is this possible?

    I was in a server, that is without Spout, and in the server the players have their nameplates colored and their skins aren't break!
    How is this possible without Spout and without break the players' skins!?

    Interesting, they seem to use the codes I showed in V10Name (use the search function :p) and since 1.3 (or maybe short before) that doesn't destroy the skins (if you just change the colors) anymore:
