Hi, I recently updated my server to the 1.3.1 recommended build and it worked fine, the start.command worked and the world generated properly. However when i tried to connect to it on the same computer I g the 'can't reach server' message. The server has worked before in 1.2.5 but since 1.3.1 it hasn't. I have no plugins installed just a vanilla bukkit server. Any help will be welcomed :)

    Thanks

  2. Have you checked the server.properties file? I assume this is your computer and not hosted somewhere?

You might want to post your file before telling us everything is ok with it...

Your properties file looks good, it's the bukkit default, only hardcore=false seems to be missing, but maybe that was added after the RB.

Did you test if it works with the latest dev build? http://dl.bukkit.org/downloads/craftbukkit/

And you enter localhost when you connect, right?

Don't use your local IP, always type just localhost into the server address field.

not local host, it must be localhost, one word. And yes, your friends of course need to use the external IP. (not the 192.168 one)

Tried localhost but got the connection error (or something like that message). How do i find the external ip on a mac??

    zipfe

    Google "what's my IP"

Google will show your IP on top of the search results.
