Plugin category: Fun Suggested name: EXPlore What I'm looking for: I'm looking for a kind of block that will give experience and/or money when people touch it or walk over it, not break it. Or something like that. Basically I want to reward my players for going to other people's areas and looking around, exploring, seeing what other people make and interact with them - not just stay in their own buildspace forever. Basically something like checkpoints that people could place in their area that people would be able to touch once per real day (not MC day) and get some experience for traveling around. I looked at the current experience mods but didn't see anything like this. Ideas for commands: No commands needed that I can think of Ideas for permissions: explorebuild.allow - Allow someone to build this block.
Well I want it to be only allowed once a day so people can't just sit there and level over and over. Also I'm not sure how you can give experience with redstone.
Search for Day/Night Sensor. Villagers go inside their home, if it turns night. That means? If they go inside, a pressure plate will activate and allow them to get exp through a dispenser with exp bottles. If you want infite XP spawner, get the plugin SupplySign and attach one of the Supply Signs to the dispenser. It should work Also: in 1.3.1 you get XP for mining. I was mining like 10 minutes and already had level 17. They won't need something like that.
This would be easier in a plugin than in redstone. I'm assuming he wants a lot of these. What you are suggesting takes up a lot of space (and is once per minecraft day)
I'm not sure if his server has like 200 people running to the XP farm and try to get some XP. Also it is just a suggestion. I tried to help
You could try to use variabletriggers for this. It's a really great plugin, and with a bit of fiddling around you will probably find out how to do it.

Basically you will have a chest then when opened, the "looter" will receive experience. I could try to explain it more but I think it would be easier for you to check out the plugin page.
