So either my friends are very lucky with their server or minecraft 1.3.1 is crazy efficient with ram: Yes we are upgrading the cpu soon as it always is hovering around 100% and as we all know minecraft really only uses one core.

Yea but you wouldn't think it was this much. In 1.2.5 That same were was using around 1.5-1.7gb ram. Right now in 1.3.1 as in the picture it is only around around 300mb.
