But I really don't think I got MYSQL on my external server.. Is that a must?

Haha, I really thought I was good at Java programming/Coding/Solutions, But I realize I'm not.. :p

If your host allows it, go for using 'external mysql '. It would be more efficient at the least.

@Nucius Okay, But does it help against hackers in any way? Or what is it good for?

    Nucious

Probably not, but I thought I would do you a favor and give you the best suggestions for your server anyways.
But back on the anti-hack, I really am confused why that is.

Make sure its on port 25565, that is a possibility because some ports are more vulnerable than others, and make sure your password is secure on your MC.Net account, as well as making sure your server is online ( *again* )

I'm sure people aren't breaching your account anyways. Are there any plugins that make your server vulnerable, such as permission plugins? You should get to installing Pex.

Nucious I really don't understand PeX. And I'm starting to understand GroupManager very well. Do I need to for my security?

GroupManager could be the reason for the 'hackers'. If you as well think it is, I recommend disabling it ( removing it ) but don't delete it from your files, just rename it or somethin.

Edit - If you want I can get on your server and test out some commands.

Yeah ok...Im just going to say, We both learn in different ways our. Brains have a different way to learn new things, yours is Audio visuals and mine is Books and reading.
Some people like to have fancy effects to learn and some prefer the old fashioned way of learning.
Overall You and me have different styles and preferences of learning.
Mine just so happens to be reading.

Is this problem resolved yet? I'm currently experiencing the same problem on my server. Online mode=true and I use PermissionEX. Somebody comes on (invisible), kicks and bans players. I changed the password of my console (multicraft) and it still happend. I've lost like 20 of my good players. Nobody in ops.txt besides me. banned-players and banned-ips are like I know them.

Maybe try my plugin player logger http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/playerlogger/

It logs all console commands and lots of stuff for individual players so you can see what has happened.

Have you got any sub users astroskillz

Nucious renaming the jar does nothing it still works I could rename worldedit as logblock and it would still be called worldedit and work in the server.

I'll try out your plugin! What do you mean with sub users?

  22. Offline

    McLuke500

Well most vps servers have a main account, your account. But you can set sub users who have access to various things eg. Files or console so check if you have any :D

If you think CoreProtect is bad, there is something wrong with you. It is the only block logging plugin that successfully logs WorldEdit as far as I know.. There is also an option to use a MySQL database with it, but I've never had that problem because I have an SSD.

WTF? How would groupmanager be causing it?! Unless he got from a non-bukkit source or has no idea how to set it up correctly that is not the problem. I use GM, and I have for a long time, You are an idiot if you think that.
