Can't reach server

Hi,

yesterday I set up the bukkit server according to




using an address from no-ip.com. Right afterwards I was able to connect to the server using this address.

Today I can still reach the server using localhost, but with the no-ip.com address it does not work any more. I switched off the Microsoft Firewall.

Checking 25565 on http://canyouseeme.org/ leads to

"Error: I could not see your service on 87.166.206.217 on port (25565)
Reason: Connection timed out"

I don't have the time really to watch the video, but... Did you;
1) Open ports in Windows Firewall?
2) Open ports on modem and/or router?
3) Have a 3rd party firewall/Anti-Virus(BitDefender, AVG)?

 

Yes to 1+2 and no to 3, as far as I can tell

 

Who do yo have for an ISP? Have you gone over you TOS to see if your allowed to host a server? If you cant they will block almost all incoming ports.

 

Did you port forward both UDP and TCP? Also, do you have a modem and router, or just a modem?

 

ISP: 1&1 in Germany, I just called them in order to check and they said it's complicated and will call me back in 3 days

Yes, UDP & TCP, and I just have a modem.

Start the server, then in the CMD, type netstat -an, use the find option to check if anything is using port 25565(Or whatever you set as the bukkit server).
