How to use a domain to host a server???

hello, what i never really understood is how to make your website url have a subdomain on it and if thats typed in minecraft actually goto a server???


It makes no sense to me of how that works?

So for exmaple, if i owned the website: www.Example.com

how would i make mc.example.com
goto my minecraft server?

And also, what website hosting service is the cheapest and best for this?

 

First of, you have to "own" the domain, Then you will be able to change thoes settings the DNS Contoll Panel
the "mc".example.com is just a name.

3. Hostname---Whatever u want
4. Dont screw anything else up
5. Create host, done

both no-ip and dot.tk and co.cc would not work for what im trying to do.

I want my OWN domain. Such as mywebsite.com (what is the cheapest and easiest website domain buyer and hoster out there?) like for example: homestead is one that i know of. has a site builder and everything.

But I have to say www.one.com is only 90p a month

 

GoDaddy is a fairly big domain registrar, I don't know if they're any good though, so just a suggestion.

 

I use enjin it's free but the place an ad on your site, you can also get paid hosting, first one is like $8 then the next is like $23

 

GoDaddy has 1.99 monthly
