I'm looking for an Economy plugin that has a global shop, but I hate the idea of variable prices bases on "supply and demand". All economy plugins have that variable price thing. Why is there not a economy plugin that doesn't have variable prices but still has a global shop? Another thing is, I would like one that doesn't have to be sold things in order for people to buy them. I.E. people can buy cobble or something with out someone having to have sold the store cobble before hand.
Bettershop. But it has a non threatening error but still works great. I'm thinking of building my own, however I hate to get too deep into something for it to be completely rewritten later.
I'm not sure what plugins you looked at, because the only plugin that does a "supply demand" thing is DynamicShop or similar. You're looking for a SHOP plugin, not an economy plugin. An economy plugin just adds the money aspect. I recommend iConomy. A SHOP plugin allows users to buy and sell things. I recommend ChestShop. Thanks to you both. Ended up compromising for ChestShop. I really wanted one with a "global shop" or whatever, the one where it lets you use commands instead of chests. If anyone know of a plugin that fits that description, please let me know.
Ah, you meant a VIRTUAL shop. I'd recommend searching. There are a lot of good shop plugins out there. If I stumble upon one, and remember this thread, I'll come back. :3
I've been searching for days. There isn't anywhere else plugins are found, is there? I've found virtual shops, but none with unlimited stock.
Really? Have you tried keywords such as "command" and "virtual"? I mean, you can always use EssentialsEco if you want... They have a /buy and /sell command and all that good stuff, in addition to signs. I'm not sure if you use Essentials, but if you don't, I'd highly, highly recommend it.
The thing is, I don't like Essentials. It's a pain to work with, for me anyways. I'm really bad with any kind of config/permission editing, or any .yml editing period. Essentials screws up most of my plugins and features when ever I use it. It makes commands not work, and things like that. Does "EssentialsEco" need Essentials to work?
... Essentials is the easiest config out there. While it might be long, everything is explained and there are tutorials. How does it screw your plugins? I'm not trying to get you to use their economy, but the plugin as a whole is amazing. It's the most widely used plugin, hands down. I'm 99% sure that EssentialsEco is dependent on Essentials, but I may be wrong. If you really don't use Essentials, you're back to searching. Try VirtualShop. Keep searching. There are plugins that exist that do this, although IMHO Essentials is the best. :3
I haven't used it in so long, so the only thing I can think of to provide as an example would be me trying to change the time, and it giving me some error about not being able to change time. With out Essentials = No error. With Essentials = Error. I'm just terrible at this .yml stuff. None of my permissions actually work and half of a plugins features end up not working after tweaking its config settings. I'll check out VirtualShop, I guess. EDIT: Looked up VirtualShop; remember seeing it. The first time around I opened it, thinking it was exactly what I needed, saw the screen shot of it being only user posted items, exactly what I don't want. Just looked now and read more in depth, saw no way of changing that.
Did you do /time set or something? It's just /time day or /time night. Hmm... Well, I just looked at it again. "Fight Communism and promote the free market". Lol, you want exactly opposite that. I'm sure something exists. All you're asking for is a static, command-based shop. You're probably going to have to do some more searching -- I'm all out of ideas from the top of my head. I could list more options, but a) I've never used them, and b) You could just find 'em yourself. I'm 99% sure something like this exists... It's just a matter of finding it. :3
Again, I've scoured this site for hours; I'll ask again: Is there any other place to find bukkit plugins??
Besides BukkitDev? Not unless you want to search here (plugin releases). I'm pretty sure that everything on here will be on BukkitDev, but someone might not have caught up yet.. But the question makes it sound like you're asking for a non-Bukkit place to find Bukkit plugins. And, to the extent of my knowledge, no.
No, just anywhere else to find plugins. I've just been using regular Bukkit, even since most pages link to a BukkitDev page... Should I be browsing on BukkitDev itself?
Yep. There's a search bar if the click the bar that says "Filters". This will link you directly to all the plugins.
