I need a way to set restrictions on certain users.

I need a plugin that can restrict access to some blocks for only certain users. There is this one troublesome user that I don't want to ban permanently but I would much rather just restrict his access to common griefing blocks. I tried Group Manager but I can't restrict blocks for groups, only commands.

Is there some way that you guys have done this?

I didn't feel like posting in Help because it didn't seem appropriate.

What you can do is set up the blacklist feature in the WorldGuard plugin (which is an extremely common plugin anyways). Use it to set up permission nodes e.g. blacklist.lava, and give the permission node only to people you want to have access to the item.

Is there no way to allow it for everyone and blacklist only a few people?

Yes. You could create a blacklist perm node and grant it to your default server group. Then, you would use a negative perm node in order to remove it from the specific users you don't want having the items.

Is there a tutorial somewhere that can teach me how to use nodes and the like. I've seen the name before but have never thought of their use.

    Thanks :)

Edit: I am reading through the WorldGuard Wiki and I can see how I could restrict certain blocks for certain groups but how are these groups created? How do I place people into groups? Is it with GroupManager?

This one is my personal favorite. Just give the bp. or bb. perms to the specific people you don't want using those blocks. Super easy to use.
