I see on servers like when they are going to have a build contest or some contest of sorts, they put up a wall of signs, unprotect the signs and say leave your name to sign up. But the issue is people put fake names and sometimes if they can break other's names, its a big mess. But I think there should be a pugin that lets the player simply right click a sign on a wall of sign that has been selected to be a sign up wall, and the players name will automatically be put on the sign on the top line. Then if the person would like to add a comment a chat line would show up after they right click the sign telling the payer the command to add a comment. Such as "To leave a comment type /sub add [msg]" or something alike that. then the additional comment would be added on to the player's sign, but below a line of dashes seperating name and message. So an example sign: mike2500 ------------------- mike is going to win the constest! Love to see this happen! If its already made just point me to it!
I like this idea, so I'll have a go at coding it now, although actually adding the names and comments to signs programmatically could get messy. I think I'll have a sign to rightclick to see the list of added players, and a seperate sign to rightclick to sign up. Maybe, if you want, the person who created the signup sign could get a message whenever someone signs up too.
maybe the command would be more like /sub [contestname] [add/remove] [msg] where contestname is the name of the contest thing your signing up to, add/remove adds or removes you to it, and the msg allows you to put in a message. For a plugin like this to work, you would need commands like /sub create [contestname] [playerlimit] [additionalinfo] and a /sub inf0 [contestname]
