First time poster here, hope this all makes sense. Plugin category: General / Mechanics / Anti-griefing Suggested name: Burning Creative Suite Update/Modified A bit about me: I am a member of a modest gaming clan, wanting to open a dedicated server for every one and the public, no coding experience but able to keep up in most ways. General Summery: I want to make a dedicated server in which creative mode can be used in a survival mode map/server. Areas of the map would be zoned off for large community projects in which players can use creative mode. Players who want to do personal projects would then leave the creative mode zone and explore/build in survival mode, and would be unable to use/abuse creative mode abilities. Burning Creative Suite does most of this but lacks the key feature of creating zones/territories/boundaries . What I want: To add permission zones/territories to work with BCS, which allow players to toggle into creative mode, and when players leave said zone "creative mode" will be auto-disabled until player reenters the zone. On it's own the Burning Creative Suite almost does everything to allow players to use both game modes with out abusing creative abilities, except people can use it any where at any time. Ideas to make this work: ◘ I was thinking the easiest way is to do this is to ether modify BCS or combine it it with a preexisting plugin, like a territory plug in or a language filter, in which it would let people type the toggle command to turn on creative mode in a creative territory, and automatically shut it off when some one leaves that zone and then blacklist the toggle command until they return to a creative area. Question/Help?: ► Does any one know of a preexisting plug in that could be used with BCS with little or no modification to do what I need it to do? And if so how to make it work? Or perhaps there is something that does everything I need already? So, I was thinking today, if i were to use BCS with worldguard's blacklist/whitelist comands feature that would take care of just about everything except away for automaticly turning off creative mode when a player leaves the creative zone, makes sense right? If what i am saying would work, can some one think of a plug in I can use to auto toggle off a command like creative mode?
Basically when 1.1 came out Bukkit changed how this thing called Listeners worked. That means that any plugin using old 1.0 Listeners will not work with 1.1+. However I'll give this a shot for you yah http://wiki.bukkit.org/Introduction_to_the_New_Event_System

Private? as in not sharing the update with any one? I would say personally I would want every one to have the chance to have it but I would give the Aurthur the chance to ok everything first, at least for now. Question: are you attempting to make BCS work independently and create the regions as a standalone plugin or are you attempting to modify it so that it works with world guard or something?
Wait.. What? But... what about the creative mode regions? as in, zone off an area in a survival map server and set it as a creative mode zone and automatically toggles off creative mode when some one leaves the area?... as I understand it BSC lets players toggle in and out of creative mode any where in the map at any time.. I want it to do this: (I forgot to add that when a player is in the green area that it is impossible for him to toggle into creative mode) Is this different from what you were thinking?
You use WG to select the area. Define it as Creative and select who is allowed in the area. Then when they go in the area they get put in creative. Their inv is saved and restored when they leave. Noone else is allowed into the area.
This makes sense to me, but I just want to confirm, that using this method will stop any players from using creative mode outside the creative zone, I don't want people flying around abusing powers and what not. The other thing I dont quite understand is what you mean by who is "allowed", it would make sense to me that this would be left passive, I don't see why people couldn't just walk in or out of the creative zone with out adding manually adding special permissions. It seems as tho my example picture was lost in my prior post, here is it remade: I hope this isn't becoming too much trouble, and i am very grateful for you talking this out with me, I just want to make sure we are on the same page.
that plug in sounds as tho it will do exactly what i need it to do, but its not complete yet, and the author hasnt been on line since the start of the month. Any one else have some ideas? any one else wanna take on the project?
