Sorry, my english is not the best... just ask if you don't understand something Plugin category: Administration, chat Suggested name: NoAdvertising, NoAd A bit about me: I am a server admin and i am at the beginning of learning java. (but not good enough to make a plugin for my own) What I want: No one likes when players join, advertise for a server and leave. (You get banned on the most servers) I'd like a plugin that does not allow players to post IP's (from other servers) in the chat (even PM) or on signs. It would be nice if the server staff (presetted in config) would get a notification about who tried to post an IP (on a sign or in the chat). For domains, it would be nice if the staff could see it, and then allow it by command or not (for signs they would get the sign text via chat). The staff would then get a request number from everyone who tried to post a domain. Those request are denied after a presetted time. Ideas for commands: /noad allow <number> (number is the number of the allow request for the domain in chat or on a sign) /noad (shows info about version, a short help and the dev name if you want) Ideas for permissions: canpostip (is always allowed to post IPs) canpostdomain (is always allowed to post domains) usenoad (is staff/is allowed to use the plugin and allow domains) When I'd like it by: As fast as a dev could do it? Moved. I think there is something like this already, but perhaps its included in other plugins. I am not entirely sure though. Try scouring dev.bukkit.org first. Not that duplicate plugins is a bad thing, but might save everyone some time.

Did it work necause I planned on adding more stuff to it. All it does now is monitor the chat for Common advertising phrases. V 1.0: i tried it. it worked. but you can not send any text with a dot in it and it only works if you use the exact text (with caps). awesome how fast you are (i am pretty bad and starting with the basics but...) could you use Code: contains("." && "." && "." && "." && ".") to make sure only IP's are disabled? ok i tested your 2nd version. It says that the advertisement was bypassed because i was OP... but it did not show my message then EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
Why did you just use this http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/antiadvertising/ It even pings the server to check if its a minecraft server so things like ips of a website still work...
