BuildProtect - A Better way to Protect

Plugin category: Anti Griefing and World Protection​

Why I want this: All other plugins that do this people troll with, I want to create a system that would allow for people who legitimately play on the server get protection, I was using grief prevention, But since anyone can just come and plop a chest anywere It wasn't working​

What I want: My request is fairly simple, I would like this plugin to be a lightweight, Anti Griefing Economy Plugin, That basically operates itself, Users would buy blocks from a sign using the format​

That would give users a 10 block protection in a square radius (It should also extend the protection from Bedrock to Y:256)​

This plugin should protect the user against:​

Block Break​

Chest Theft (Should automatically lock all chests in the claimed area)​

Fire Spread (Even By Admins)​

TNT Explosions (Even by Admins)​

Lightning Fire​

Passive Mob Kill (So people can't kill someones entire animal farm)​

PVP​

Potion Splash Unless thrown by you​

Creeper Explosion​

Players Claims should not be able to overlap others claims​

Ideas for commands: ​

/blocks (To see how many blocks you have available to you to claim)​

​

/share [NAME] (To let others build in your claim, Should grant the user full access)​

​

/semishare [NAME] (Should grant the user limited access, The ability to open chests, Break​

blocks, potion splash, and passive mob kill, ) (But not TNT Explosions Fire Spread)​

/claims (Lists the users claims and the persons who have access to the claim, should look a little something like this when you type the command in​

/claims [Playername] (Admin Command, Should list the claims for that specified player)​

​

/claim remove [Playername] (Admin Command, should delete the claim for that player)​

#1 - Full Access: [Playername] [Playername] Limited Access: [Playername][Playername]​

#2 - Full Access: [Playername]​

​

/claim remove [ClaimID] (Note Claim ID's are automatically assigned and cannot be changed, They should go in order from 1 2 3 4 5 etc., And say you remove claim 1, The other claims should stay as claim 2 claim 3 etc., You should only be able to remove your own claims​

/claim info (Gives you the information of the claim your standing in, If any, Example of what it should look like:​

You are currently in [Playernames] Claim, Claim ID [InsertclaimID Here]​

Or:​

You are currently not standing In a claimed area.​

/bp help (List all user commands for this plugin) (/blocks /share /semishare /claims /claimremove /claim info)​

BuildProtect.User (Should grant access to /blocks /share /semishare /claims /claimremove /claim info​

BuildProtect.Admin (Should grant access to all commands)​

Many protection plugins offer payment/purchase options. Residence for example allows players to purchase lots they mark themselves based on the size of the lot. You can set which permissions users can grant other users, container/build/use/etc.

I imagine other protection plugins have similar features.

 

Yes but Residence isn't very lightweight and its very complicated for users, So Id much rather not use residence

Thank you for summing up a list of useful features I will be adding to my ClaimsLite Protection system,if you are interested at all in having a lightweight solely claims plugin that works similar but slightly more efficient than GriefPrevention's protection process, I can modify my work to allow economy into it just pm me if interested.
