MineCal - An in-game calendar system

This plugin will keep track of the current Minecraft in-game date. You can post the date on signs and see the current date with a command. The weekday names, month names, and number of days in each month are completely customizable. By default, it uses real-life month names and weekday names, however, it is intended to be changed to fit in your world.

Now called RolePlayCalendar, and is on BukkitDev.

Is it possible to have special "Events" happen on a certain day? I want everyone online in the server to recieve a free 1,024 Bells [iConomy currency] when the date is "September 5" (My B-Day) or "December 25" (Christmas) :D

Suggestion: Add signs that you create that would display the current date/time.

To make a calender you simply, place a sign and put the following text on the first line "[Calender]". That would activate the date/time to be displayed on that sign.

If you could actually include my suggestion, that would be awesome and make this plugin 10 times more useful that it is currently. (Not that it isn't).

    Thanks,
    Cyberpew

You should read the first post more carefully. Particularly the usage section.

I like this idea. This is very similar to my idea, but I have a way to do it.

I personally love this plugin, as I have used it for quite some time.

What I suggest is the ability to make a sign, set a certain date on the sign, and once the sign detects that it is the same date, it would emit a redstone output (For as long as the day lasts?). Maybe you could also set from Thisday to Thatday or a specific amount of days (Of course you could easily just use two signs of different days and use redstone to turn the other off after a set date...)

I believe this plugin can easily expand so much. Thank you for your work.

*Fist pumps and emphasizes the redstone signs*

Using [cal] just gives me a blank sign.

    I'm using Bukkit 1.2.3-R0.3
Have no other plugins installed and there are no errors.

Well, did you leave the sign blank? You've gotta put stuff on the sign. Read the formatting section.

    Ah... gotch ya.
Just a suggestion... move the Formatting section to the Usage section and let people know that they MUST use the formatting. This way head scratching monkeys, like myself, can figure it out.:)
And yup... it now works... thanks!

This would be a pretty amazing extension to an already awesome plugin.

Also, does this work on 1.2.4-R1.0?

Awesome plugin. You make great ones - bookworm, magic spells, Minecal... all great! Have you made any others?

One of my favorite plugins, but could you add a command like /months and /days to see the name of the days, and the name of the months? Thanks for this awesome plugin. I love all your work.

If I want the day change announce at sunrise, rather than midnight, what would the offset be? I am kind of confused by how that works.
