Alright guys, I'm in need of some serious help. Bukkit currently has no step-by-step, thorough enough tutorial in how to make Permissions work. I've been trying to set up my bukkit server for the past 4 days now, and the permissions are driving me absolutely up a wall. I'm using the latest build of craftbukkit, and I'm using the latest update of Permissions, which is like 2.5.1 or something. I heard of a successor for Permissions called GroupManager, but I've also heard it doesn't work too nicely with the latest build, and it's also in pre-alpha still, so i've decided to stay away from GroupManager all together. I desperately need help with how to use and integrate permissions, period. As far as I'm concerned, I'm using the right format for the config.yml file, and NotePad++ makes it alot easier. I'm obviously using the right permission nodes because they are listed on the plugin pages. But there has to be something i'm doing wrong, I have to be missing something that is making this so freaking difficult. If anyone can post an example of their FULLY WORKING permissions config.yml file so I can cross-reference it with my own and see what in the hell i'm doing wrong, I would much appreciate it. Did you rename the config.yml for Permissions to world.yml or whichever you decided to name your world?
yes, did that. The default name of the folder it makes is world, so i changed the config file name to world as well.
